This is an open world game, where you will find pals around the world, you will be able to catch them or defeat them, once they are yours, you can use them to complete repetitive tasks, ride them or use them to fight for you.

Beginner tips for palworld

These are the best tips I can give you to start a new world and become strong quickly:

• 1 Gather materials and build even if you don’t have a base yet.
• 2 Craft lots of palspheres and catch as many pals as you can.
• 3 Explore to find a place where you like the resource you can get, then place a base.
• 4 Explore to activate as many Great Eagle Statues as you can to move easily.
• 5 Explore at night as well, don’t sleep.
• 6 Once you have a base, focus on getting pals to gather resources you will need often.

Tips for advanced players

There are the best tips I can show you, for those that already know how to play, but that want to improve a lot.

• 1 Complete dungeons as often as possible.
• 2 Always use all of the bases you have available.
• 3 Don’t be afraid of using resources, you can always get more later.
• 4 Set up a breeding camp and look for pals you want to get.
• 5 Increase the level of multiple pals.
• 6 Sacrifice pals in the Pal Essence Condenser to make others more powerful.
• 7 Farm skill fruits and use them.
• 8 Capture 12 pals of every species for EXP boost

Details for beginner tips

Now I will give you more details on each point for the beginners tips.

Gather materials and build even if you don’t have a base yet

You can gather materials even if you are not going to use, because you don’t know that yet, so gather wood, stone, palladium fragments, berrys, everything, eventually you will use it, and even if you get too heavy, you can just drop it, but if you don’t gather them, when you need them, you will be struggling.

Also make sure you craft a workbench to craft a pickaxe and an axe, so that you can start gathering more resource more efficiently, you can then destroy the workbench or leave it, it’s just 2 wood resources, but if you do so, you will start equipping yourself without the need for a base to drop the resources yet, as you are using them and reducing the weight of what you carry with you.

Craft lots of palspheres and catch as many pals as you can

One of the best things about palworld is that you can get pals to do pretty much anything, but in order to get them, you will need to craft lots of palspheres, if you have to choose which resources to start gathering, I would recommend those to craft palspheres, then catch some pals to keep gathering those resource and keep crafting palspheres, you will get to a point when you will have pals to gather any resource early on the game, also if you don’t have many palspheres you might think it twice before trying to catch a pal, but if you have palspheres to spare, just keep trying to catch a weekend pal.

Also catching multiple pals of the same kind will give you a boost of EXP which at the beginning means new technology to learn and then to craft.

Explore to find a place where you like the resource you can get, then place a base

This is a very important tip, at the beginning you will only be able to build one base, so deciding where is very important.

I’ll give you a small hint almost none knows at the beginning, you can build a Palbox, then from the map destroy it and you will get back the resources to build a new Palbox, so you can place it anywhere on the map where you think it will work, then if you find a better place, you can destroy it to build it where you just found it’s better. Keep in mind that you will get back only the resources for the Palbox, if you had anything else built, eventually it will be destroyed, so I recommend doing this if you still don’t have invested time on that base.

Best places to set up a base is where you find Ores to get the metal, you will need it sooner than you expect, so placing a base around those ores will grant you the possibility to farm them constantly for ingots (for stone and wood you can build a Stone Pit and a Logging Site).

Explore to activate as many Great Eagle Statues as you can to move easily

This is very straightforward, the more Great Eagle Statues you have unlocked, the more places you can visit, this will allow you to travel to places where there are specific pals or resources you might want to catch or farm, respectively.

This is also a good way to travel to a village with travelers that will sell you stuff you definitely want to check out.

The following is a great example of this, it’s an statue easy to reach and there is a village nearby, so when you get to gather some extra money, you can come and see what they have to offer.

Explore at night as well, don’t sleep

As you might think, exploring at night is usually a little bit more challenging, but as well more rewarding, because there are pals that only appear at night, for example Tombat, is a pal that can only be seeing at night and it has a level 2 mining skill, which will allow you to farm automatically ores.

Also if you follow the previous advice you will already have a fire pal which you can use to keep you warm at night, so you don’t suffer from cold.

Once you have a base, focus on getting pals to gather resources you will need often

This one is also a very straightforward advice, catch as many pals as you can for those resources you need the most. 

At the beginning mining and wooding are crucial, so catch pals that have those skills, if you can get pals that have those skills in a level 2, then you will have it much easier.

Same happens with the handwork skill, if you get a pal that has that skill on a level 2, you will start building and crafting much faster.

Details for advances tips

Now I will give you more details for those advanced tips I gave you before.

Complete dungeons as often as possible

If you see a dungeon, complete it. It will have resources you get nowhere else. Like:

• Schematics (to improve weapons and armor).
• Flowers to rise skills.
• Unique pals.
• Boss pals.
• Ancient Civilization Parts.

Also the dungeons are only available for a small period of time, so if you see one open get inside right away, before it’s too late to get in.

I personally advice to check every single chest inside the dungeon, as schematics appear on them and they are a huge difference when you get a high quality weapon or armor (I even don’t learn armors nor weapons anymore, I complete dungeons as often as possible to get high quality schematics and use them to craft wherever I need).

Always use all of the bases you have available

This is an advice I see not everyone follows, but in palworld the pals will help you in the game, so the more pals you can use, the more you can do with them.

That’s why using all of your bases is a must, once you unlock the second Palbox, search for a spot with resources and start building around them, don’t worry if you know there are more valuable resources coming, you can always destroy that base, move everything somewhere else and still have taken advantage of the resources you gather while using that base.

Especially at the late game, you will start to need oil and you can have multiple bases focused on collecting those resources.

Don’t be afraid of using resources, you can always get more later

If you are similar to me, you gather lots of resources but when you don’t have much of an item you try to gather it before using it. Stop doing that use the item and then go to gather more, the better equipped you are, the easier it becomes to gather resources.

Either souls, pals, materials, any resources you can think of, just use it, if you are running low, set a trip to gather more, but don’t waste time gathering them if you have enough for wherever you are about to craft/build.

Set up a breeding camp and look for pals you want to get

In the late game you will notice that good pals make a huge difference, not only about level, but also about stars and type of pal.

In order to get a strong pal you will need to breed, I recommend starting by getting a pal you want to use and keep breeding that type of pal, so you can strengthen it a lot, then use it to breed another good pal.

Set up a farm to produce cakes and check online what is the quickest way to get a pal you want with the ones that you already have, then start breeding lots of it.

Increase the level of multiple pals

Another important thing that some players don’t do is level up multiple pals, but you should.

Why is it important? Because you will send them on expeditions, and the level matters. The higher level a pal has, the more points it will add to the expedition, obviously higher stars also means better points and less time to complete the expedition.

What I do is I usually have my 2 or 3 pals to defeat pretty much anything then I change the other 2 or 3 to low level pals and start leveling them up, there are times where I need some resources and those are the perfect times, because is less likely that you will fight strong enemies, like bosses, but if the level of the enemies you are facing are higher that the ones you have in the party, they will level up really fast.

Sacrifice pals in the Pal Essence Condenser to make others more powerful

For this tip I want to let you know that you can always get more pals, actually you might end up without space to catch more pals if you don’t start doing this right away.

Using the Pal Essence Condenser will make the pal you select stronger, also it will rise it’s stars which will have positive effects on the pal on every star.

You can also sacrifice pals and not get a star, but the pal you condense, you can later on condense it for another one, making it perfect to save space but not wasting your pal resources.

Farm skill fruits and use them

Later on the game you will be able to farm skill fruits, create lots of this farms, because it will allow you to give any skill to any pal you want in the future.

But even if you are still early in the game, farm these trees as often as you can, they will rarely give you a great skill and that you teach to a pal you use a lot but that doesn’t know that skill, it will make a lot of difference while fighting enemies weak to that skill attribute.

If you see a skill tree, mark it, so you can come back later to see if there are new fruits to gather.

I usually mark them with a star in the map:

Capture 12 pals of every species for EXP boost

This is the last tip but a very important one to actually advance in the game.

As you rise your level, it will become harder and harder to rise that level again, but if you catch pals you will rise your level really fast, that’s the best way to gain EXP so keep it in mind and set trips to catch low level pals every now and then, you won’t regret it.

Breeding also works, so if there is a pal that doesn’t appear often or that is too difficult to catch, keep breeding it until you have 12 of it, everytime you breed it, you will gain a huge ESP Boost.
